What are Play Groups?!?!?
Simply put, they are a chance to hang out together in what we at NewChurch refer to as 'social space'. Social space allows us to meet other people in a 'neighborhood' type atmosphere. For example, hanging out a bowling alley or getting a group together to cheer on your favorite Texas Roller Derby team are very much social spaces.
When we meet to hang out in places like this, it provides us a 'safe' place to see if there are others that you can connect to on a more personal basis. Again, we emphasize that these are 'no strings attached' events!
Come, check it out, have a great time, and meet some people that you may want to get to know better (or maybe not). Regardless, who doesn't like to have a good time bowling (or other things) with a great group of people?!?!
We have a couple of different Play Groups to choose from:
- GNO - Girls Night Out
- FNO - Family Night Out
- The NC Men's Softball Team
- And others...
As well as spontaneous events that occur throughout the year (usually announced on our FB page the day of...these would be things like dollar scoop night at Baskin Robins or bunch of people getting together to grab a movie).
